Indonesia has enormous potential in coconut industry. Its potential could improve the nation’s economy if we optimal it. Until this day, there are 95 coconut-producing district in Indonesia and each area has more than 10,000 hectares, with the number of farmers more than 2 million people. That export was recorded at USD 510.14 million in 2010. And it increase twice to USD 1.21 billion in 2014. In 2014, Indonesia’s contribution reached 20.16 percent of the total world export value. Based on data from the Himpunan Industri Pengolahan Kelapa Indonesia (HIPKI), the total national demand for coconut in 2015 was 14.63 billion coconuts or worth USD 3.53 billion.
