Eid al-Adha has always been a special momentum to reconnect and strengthen relationships with one another. This value of togetherness is continuously upheld by Sambu Group as a Domestic Capital Investment (PMDN) company through its business unit, PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung. Together with the Bahtera Dwipa Abadi Foundation (YBDA), the company once again distributed sacrificial animals to communities around its operational areas on Friday, May 22, 2026. This annual activity targeted two areas, namely Tembilahan and Air Tawar Village. Meanwhile, the handover ceremony of the sacrificial animals took place in the courtyard of the Air Tawar Village Office.
Amidst the various challenges and uncertainties faced by society today, the spirit of Eid al-Adha serves as an important reminder of the meaning of care and togetherness. Carrying the theme "Rooted in Faith, Sharing Amidst Uncertainty," this activity is a tangible manifestation of the company's commitment to consistently be present and provide benefits to the surrounding community.
"Representing the community, I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung for the blessings of Eid al-Adha that we have received. It is our hope that this bond of kinship will continue to be well-maintained, and may the company always be granted smooth operations and progress in its business," said Khalilullah Al-Muharam, the Head of Air Tawar Village.
"The sacrifice ritual (qurban) is a reminder for us at PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung about the importance of maintaining the spirit of caring for others. This year, we distributed four cows and three goats to the community around our business area," stated Kahar MZ, Public Relations of PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung.
"Three cows and two goats have been handed over to the community in Tembilahan. Meanwhile, one cow and one goat were distributed to the residents of Air Tawar Village. Through this moment, we hope the spirit of sacrifice can continue to revive the values of social care while reinforcing the company's commitment to remain present and contribute to the community," Kahar continued.
