Sambu Group, through one of its business entities, PT Riau Sakti United Plantations (PT RSUP), has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting infrastructure development and improving community welfare in Pulau Burung Village, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. As a Domestic Investment (PMDN) company that grows and develops alongside the community, Sambu Group continuously drives various sustainable development programs within the company’s operational areas.
One tangible manifestation of this commitment is realized through supporting the construction of the Pulau Burung Village Axis Road, funded by the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The road construction program was discussed during a planning meeting held by the Pulau Burung Sub-district Government on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Pulau Burung Village Hall, Km. 02 Road, Pulau Burung Village, Pulau Burung Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
The event was attended by the Head of Pulau Burung Sub-district (Camat), Razali, S.E.; the Commander of Danramil 11/Pulau Burung, represented by Sergeant (Sertu) Siswanto; the Head of Pulau Burung Sub-district Police (Kapolsek), represented by Aipda Yanser Lase; the Head of Pulau Burung Village, Riswan Haidir, Amd.; the Chairman of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), H. Amir; as well as the heads of RW (hamlets) and RT (neighborhoods) of Pulau Burung Village.
During the meeting, it was announced that the construction of the Pulau Burung Village Axis Road will be funded through the 2026 CSR program of PT RSUP, with a total value of IDR 1,856,442,500. The construction work will cover a road length of 1,115 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a concrete casting thickness of 15 centimeters.
The Head of Pulau Burung Sub-district, Razali, stated that the road construction is a priority need for the community, which is expected to boost residents' economic activities. “The construction of this axis road is a high-priority need for the community. With good road conditions, residents' mobility will be smoother, and it is hoped that this will improve the economy of the Pulau Burung Village community,” Razali said.
Meanwhile, Sergeant Siswanto, representing Danramil 11/PBR, also expressed support for infrastructure development that provides direct benefits to the community. “We from Koramil 11/PBR are ready to support every development program aimed at improving community welfare. Hopefully, this road construction can proceed according to plan and provide great benefits to the residents,” said Sergeant Siswanto.
The Public Relations representative of PT RSUP, Sumardi, explained: “We believe that village infrastructure development plays a crucial role in supporting community economic growth. Through this CSR program, the company hopes that the existence of the village axis road can provide tangible benefits for residents' mobility, the distribution of local business products, and support social and economic activities in Pulau Burung Village,” Sumardi explained.

As part of this commitment, a symbolic ceremony marking the commencement of support for the Pulau Burung Village Axis Road construction was held on May 18, 2026, as a form of synergy between the company, the government, and the community in driving sustainable regional development. Through this support for village infrastructure development, PT RSUP hopes to create better transportation access, thereby ensuring smooth daily community activities and generating a positive impact on local economic growth in the Pulau Burung Sub-district.
