The spirit of sharing and the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan were once again brought to life by Sambu Group through its business unit, PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, in partnership with the Bahtera Dwipa Abadi Foundation (YBDA). Under the theme "With the Community, Celebrating the Goodness of Ramadan," the groups organized a charitable event for orphans and the underprivileged on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Nurul Hidaya Mosque, Tanjung Pasir Village. This social initiative resulted from a collaboration between the company and a local youth organization, Karang Taruna Garuda Muda of Tanjung Pasir Village. This synergy serves as a tangible manifestation of collective care in bringing joy to the community, particularly to orphans during this sacred month.
A total of 50 orphans attended the heartwarming event. They received gift packages as a token of care and support, ensuring they could experience the happiness of Ramadan alongside the local community. In addition to orphans, the activity also reached out to the dhuafa (underprivileged) within the village as part of an effort to share Ramadan blessings and strengthen communal bonds.The event was held in a solemn atmosphere filled with togetherness. The presence of Karang Taruna officials, community leaders, YBDA representatives, and delegates from PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok added deeper meaning to the occasion—focusing not only on material aid but also on reinforcing the social relationship between the company and the community.
"Through this activity, we want to share happiness with orphans and community members in need. Ramadan is the perfect time to strengthen the values of compassion, togetherness, and mutual cooperation," said Uddin S., Public Relations of PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok. Uddin further explained the company's belief that a strong relationship with the public is vital for corporate sustainability. "PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok believes that the company's existence cannot be separated from the community. Therefore, we strive to involve local groups in various social activities, especially during Ramadan, so the benefits can be felt more broadly," Uddin added.
Irfandi, Chairman of Karang Taruna Garuda Muda Tanjung Pasir, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the company and the foundation. "We highly appreciate the concern shown by PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok and YBDA for collaborating with us to organize this charity event. This support is very meaningful for the people of Tanjung Pasir Village, especially for the orphans who need care and a sense of belonging during Ramadan," Irfandi stated.

Participants enthusiastically took part in the proceedings, which included a congregational prayer and the symbolic handover of gifts to the children.
