Pulau Burung Police and PT RSUP Partner to Optimize Productive Land Through Cross-Sector Synergy

The Pulau Burung Sector Police (Polsek), together with the District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) of Pulau Burung, carried out the Quarter I Maize Planting activity in the Pulau Burung District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This initiative is a form of concrete support for the Asta Cita Program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, specifically regarding the strengthening of national food security and the improvement of community welfare.

The maize planting activity involved the Head of Pulau Burung District (Camat), the Pulau Burung Military Command (Koramil), and a strategic partnership with the private sector, specifically PT RSUP Perkebunan. This cross-sector synergy is a strategic step in utilizing productive land within the district to bolster regional food security.

The Chief of Pulau Burung Police, AKP Dr. Irwanto, stated that this activity is part of the Indonesian National Police's (Polri) commitment to supporting central government programs oriented toward public welfare. According to him, strengthening the agricultural sector is a vital foundation for maintaining social and economic stability. "This maize planting program does not only aim to increase agricultural yields but also serves as a concrete effort by the Pulau Burung Police to support the President’s Asta Cita, particularly in reinforcing national food security," said AKP Dr. Irwanto.

Furthermore, AKP Dr. Irwanto emphasized that the collaboration between security forces, the district government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and private companies is a form of synergy that must be maintained and developed. He believes that cross-sector cooperation is the key to success in implementing the government's strategic programs.

In addition to providing a positive impact on the agricultural sector, this activity is expected to improve the welfare of the surrounding community through land optimization and increased agricultural productivity. The future maize harvest is expected to help meet food needs while driving local economic growth.

The Police Chief also added that Polri's involvement in food security initiatives is part of their duty to maintain public security and order (Kamtibmas). Strong food security is believed to minimize potential disturbances to public order within the jurisdiction of the Pulau Burung Police. "With good food security, the community will be more prosperous, allowing the security situation to remain safe and conducive. This is our hope through this activity," AKP Dr. Irwanto expressed.

Through this Quarter I Maize Planting activity, the Pulau Burung Police, along with Forkopimcam and PT RSUP Perkebunan, hope to continue contributing actively to supporting strategic government programs and realizing sustainable regional food security for the welfare of the people of Pulau Burung District.
