Sambu Group, a Domestic Investment Company (PMDN), through its business unit PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, symbolically handed over an embankment on October 14, 2025, as an effort to protect community gardens located in Parit 6.a Sungai Pinang, Tanah Merah Village, Tanah Merah Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
This activity is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on environmental preservation and improving the welfare of the community and coconut farmers in the vicinity of its operational area. The Head of Tanah Merah Village, H. Ambo Tang, S.IP, expressed gratitude and appreciation to Sambu Group for its concern for the community. "On behalf of the village government officials and all residents, we thank PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok. With this embankment, residents' gardens are safer, and the community can carry out activities peacefully," said Ambo Tang.

"We at Sambu Group believe that the company's presence must provide benefits for the surrounding environment and community. This embankment is a tangible manifestation of our concern so that the people in Tanah Merah Village can be protected from tidal floods and remain productive in managing their gardens," he explained.
Furthermore, Uddin added that CSR activities like this will continue to be carried out sustainably in various fields, including social, education, health, and environment. According to him, a good relationship between the company and the community is the key to achieving shared sustainability.
