As a form of corporate social concern and responsibility, Sambu Group, through one of its business units, PT Pulau Sambu in Jakarta, distributed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aid to residents who were victims of a fire in the RW 10 Rawa Bebek Utara area, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta. "The fire occurred early Tuesday (October 14th) at 01:35 AM WIB, resulting in 10 houses being burnt down, leaving 79 families (KK) or 237 people homeless. The cause is suspected to be an electrical short circuit from one of the residents' homes," explained Raqib, the Chairman of RW 10, Penjaringan.

For the fire victims in Penjaringan, Sambu Group distributed aid in the form of basic necessity packages (sembako) and hundreds of blankets to the affected residents. A total of 50 sembako packages and 250 blankets were distributed to the affected residents through a symbolic handover ceremony held at the RW 10 post office in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on October 15, 2025. This provision of basic necessities is expected to reduce the burden on residents after their homes were destroyed.

Dwianto Arif, Corporate Communication Manager of Sambu Group, stated that this assistance is the company's quick response to the emergency situation experienced by the Penjaringan community. Sambu Group expresses its deep concern over this disaster. "Our hope is that this small assistance from us, in the form of basic necessity packages and hundreds of blankets, can ease the burden on the victims and provide the spirit to quickly recover and rebuild their lives," added Dwianto Arif.

"Representing the residents affected by the fire disaster, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the contribution from Sambu Group. This form of attention from a company like Sambu Group is certainly very beneficial for us, the disaster-stricken residents. We hope that what has been given to the residents will be useful. And may the good deeds of Sambu Group be rewarded by God," concluded Raqib, who had the opportunity to receive the aid at the RW 10 Post. The aid to the fire victims is a form of compassion for others and humanity, which is one of the values held by Sambu Group to share with its community.
