Sambu Group, a Domestic Investment Company (PMDN), supports every development effort initiated by the government, including in Pulau Burung, Indragiri Hilir, Riau. Through its subsidiary PT Riau Sakti United Plantations (RSUP) and its affiliate company, PT Sumatera Timur Indonesia (STI), the company is fully supporting the medium and low-voltage power grid construction project—a diesel power plant de-dieseliation program by PT PLN (Persero) on Pulau Burung.

"PT STI fully supports this power grid construction program by assisting with the sterilization and security of access for the network's development, which crosses our operational area. This is a form of PT STI's commitment to help promote the equitable distribution of electricity infrastructure for the community's welfare," he continued.
Specifically, the diesel power plant program implemented in the Pulau Burung District, Indragiri Hilir, Riau, aims to increase the hours of electricity, so that the electricity service on Pulau Burung is no longer limited. As a result, the community can enjoy full 24-hour electricity. The electricity facilities on Pulau Burung can thus increasingly support the economy, improve health and education services, and simplify daily life.
The power grid construction process began in June 2025. During this period, the on-site team worked together to sterilize the route, prepare access, and secure the area where the power grid passes. Thanks to the full support for the project from PT STI at the business location of PT RSUP in and around Pulau Burung, the work was completed on time and officially handed over on July 22, 2025.
Razali, the Head of Pulau Burung District, also expressed his appreciation for this support. The presence of 24-hour electricity is very important for us because it can boost economic activities, advance children's education, and support health services in the village.
