To show its genuine concern for others and its commitment to supporting public health, PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung, along with the Bahtera Dwipa Abadi Foundation (YBDA), successfully held a mass blood drive on Saturday, August 9, 2025. The event, which took place at the PT Pulau Sambu Pratama Clinic in Guntung, was met with high enthusiasm from employees and the surrounding community and managed to collect 274 bags of blood ready to be distributed to save lives.
The theme of the event was "Donate Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives," emphasizing that the simple act of donating blood can have an extraordinary impact on saving others' lives.This theme has a powerful double message. The first part, "Donate Blood, Give Hope," encourages people to realize that a drop of donated blood can become a lifeline for those in need. The second part, "Together We Save Lives," emphasizes that saving lives is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of all levels of society.
The event was attended by employees of PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung and people from the communities surrounding the company's operational area. According to the committee's data, 327 people registered and first went through a health screening by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Indragiri Hilir Regency medical team.
The blood drive was also attended by several invited guests from government, security, health, and community leaders, including the Head of Kateman Sub-district, the Kateman Police Chief, the 06/KTM Military Commander, the Head of the Sungai Guntung Community Health Center, the Head of Air Tawar Village, the Head of Tagaraja Urban Village, and local community leaders. The presence of these stakeholders is proof of tangible support for the humanitarian movement that was initiated.

Ginting, as the Head of Public Relations for Sambu Group, stated that this blood drive is a form of the company's commitment to supporting public health and strengthening social solidarity in its operational area. Through this activity, we are not only helping to meet the need for blood stock in the region, but also inviting the community to play a role in a simple but very meaningful humanitarian action," he said.
