PT RSUP, part of Sambu Group, a domestic investment company (PMDN), has announced a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Through its business unit PT Riau Sakti United Plantations (PT RSUP), located in Indragiri Hilir, the company is building a bridge in Sungai Danai Village, Pulau Burung District.
The bridge will be 30 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, spanning the KUT 2 Parit Berut canal. Construction officially began on Monday, July 21, 2025. A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday, July 16, 2025, attended by the PT RSUP Public Relations team, Ponidi (Head of Sungai Danai Village), and other local officials.
This bridge construction by PT RSUP is a tangible effort by the company to provide solutions for the needs of communities around its operational areas. Bridges are vital elements in regional development, and this holds true for Sungai Danai Village. Beyond being a means of crossing, the bridge will support various aspects of life, including economic, social, and cultural activities.
Andy Ferrial, PT RSUP's Public Relations representative, stated, "We intentionally built this iron pipe bridge to facilitate community activities in Kanal KUT 2 Parit Benut, Sungai Danai Village. The iron construction ensures strength and maximum benefit, making it long-lasting." He emphasized that this project is not just about building a physical structure but also about laying a strong foundation for the future of the Sungai Danai community.
"Our hope is that the benefits gained will not only be about improved accessibility and mobility but also about boosting the local economy, increasing access to education and healthcare, and enhancing social welfare," Andy added.
