The Eid al-Adha celebration has arrived once again, bringing with it messages of sincerity, sacrifice, and love for fellow human beings. As in previous years, Sambu Group, through one of its business units, PT Pulau Sambu Jakarta, and the Yayasan Bahtera Dwipa Abadi (YBDA), returned to share Qurban meat with the community around Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Monday, June 9, 2025 (13 Dzulhijah 1446 H). This social activity took place at RT 03, Balai RW 10, and the Jami Rahmatul Ummah Mosque in Penjaringan.
"The distribution of Qurban meat carried out in the area around PT Pulau Sambu Jakarta's operational vicinity is a tangible form of Sambu Group's care for the surrounding community," said Dwianto Arif, Corporate Communication Manager of Sambu Group. He continued, "This spirit of sharing for the residents of Penjaringan, North Jakarta, is an embodiment of this year's theme: 'Strengthening Silaturahmi, Reinforcing Sincerity in Care.' Thus, this year's Qurban not only brings blessings to the recipients but also strengthens the bond of brotherhood between Sambu Group and the local community."
The atmosphere of this year's Qurban is indeed different, due to the socio-economic conditions of the residents who are facing many trials and challenges. The ongoing threat of economic crisis and the increasing difficulty of living in Jakarta underscore the current situation. The presence of this Qurban meat serves as a form of the Company's care and attention to the surrounding residents. Although its value may not be significant, it is hoped that this togetherness can foster a spirit to continue moving forward and never give up.
Sambu Group, as a Domestic Investment Company (PMDN), consistently distributes Qurban meat annually. This year, PT Pulau Sambu Jakarta distributed more than 450 bags of beef to the people of Penjaringan who live around the location of PT Pulau Sambu Jakarta's business unit. The Qurban meat distribution process was carried out with the support of local RT and RW administrators. The meat was delivered directly to three different posts: the RT 03 office, Balai RW 10, and the Rahmatul Ummah Mosque in Penjaringan. The residents welcomed this good deed with enthusiasm.
"Qurban is not just about slaughtering, but about being sincere and sharing. This Qurban is our way of being closer, not just as a business entity, but also as a neighbor," said Dwianto Arif.
