
In order to celebrate of Eid al-Fitr, Sambu Group, a domestic investment company, through its business unit PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, along with the Bahtera Dwipa Abadi Foundation (YBDA), once again demonstrated their concern for the community by distributing over 5,500 cans of Eid al-Fitr Biscuits to the people of Tanah Merah District and its surrounding areas. The symbolic handover ceremony took place on March 19, 2025, attended by the Head of Tanah Merah District, Ambo Assek, the Head of Tanah Merah Village, Agus Rudianto, and the Head of Kuala Enok Sub-district, Teuku Muhammad. The distribution of these biscuits was carried out in stages from March 19 to 24, 2025, to ensure broad and equitable reach within the community.
The beneficiaries of this activity included the communities of Tanah Merah District, consisting of 9 villages and 1 sub-district: Kuala Enok Sub-district, Selat Nama Village, Sungai Udang Village, Tanjung Pasir Village, Sungai Laut Village, Tanjung Baru Village, Tekulai Hilir Village, Tekulai Bugis Village, and Tekulai Hulu Village, as well as government offices and other communities within the operational area of PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok.
Uddin S, Public Relations of PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, stated that this activity is a form of the company's social commitment to assisting the surrounding community, especially during significant moments like Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. “We at PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok and YBDA always strive to be present in the community, not only as industry players but also as part of the community. This distribution of Eid al-Fitr Biscuits is one of our ways of sharing happiness with the community around the company's operational area,” said Uddin S.

This assistance is certainly very meaningful, especially for those in need, so they can enjoy togetherness and happiness on this auspicious day,” he said. The Head of Tanah Merah Village, Agus Rudianto, added that this activity aligns with the spirit of mutual cooperation that is continuously upheld within the local community. “Hopefully, what PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok and YBDA have done can inspire many parties to continue sharing and helping others.”
Uddin S added his hope that social activities like this can continue to be carried out every year. “Hopefully, the company's concern for the surrounding community can continue to be maintained and more residents can experience its benefits,” he concluded. The distribution of Eid al-Fitr Biscuits is one of the various annual social programs conducted by PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok and YBDA. It is hoped that this program will bring positive enthusiasm to everyone and strengthen the bonds of friendship with all the people of Tanah Merah District.
