According to Andi Ridwan, HSE-WMD/AK3U Manager of PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, "The success of the SMK3 and OSH culture implementation depends heavily on the quality of human resources and a deep understanding of the importance of safety in the workplace." He emphasized that National OSH Month is an important moment to instill a safety culture in every aspect of the company's operations. With a strong OSH culture, all employees can work safely and comfortably, which will ultimately increase productivity and company sustainability in the long term.
Climate change and the digital revolution also bring new challenges to the world of work. "New risks that arise from technological developments and environmental changes must be anticipated so as not to increase the burden of health costs and reduce the quality of life of the workforce. Therefore, mitigation and adaptation to these changes are a major focus, not only for the government but also for PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok, which continues to strive to improve occupational safety standards," added Andi.

As part of the national OSH month commemoration, PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok is holding various activities within the framework of National OSH Month. In addition, the company also held an OSH quiz competition involving all divisions, with material covering environmental and occupational safety aspects. Not to forget, there was also a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) usage competition which was attended by various departments to improve employees' skills and preparedness in dealing with fires.

"In addition to these activities, PT Pulau Sambu in Kuala Enok also conducts routine OSH inspections. These inspections aim to ensure that all personnel comply with occupational safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the work area. As a form of appreciation, the company gives awards to employees who are disciplined in implementing OSH rules. This is expected to further foster awareness and commitment of all workers in maintaining safety in the work environment," added Andi.
