Sambu Group is showing its concern for the community by building a 2000-meter embankment in Desa Air Tawar, Kecamatan Kateman, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir (Inhil). Built on August, 15th, 2023, this embankment aims to resist seawater intrusion that could ruin the farmer’s coconut plantations. This embankment also could be used as a road to support transportation.
“This embankment construction is a form of concern for Sambu Group to contribute to society, especially for the coconut ecosystem in Indragiri Hilir. Hopefully, this embankment could be very useful and can solve environmental problems,” said the Head of Air Tawar Village, Khalilillah, on Monday (26/02/2024).
