The world is currently facing an economic crisis. While the economic crisis due the Covid-19 has not ended yet, now we are faced with a food and energy crisis due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. There are no signs yet that the world economy is improving, so the crisis mentioned above has had a direct impact on the coconut industry in Indonesia and also in the world. In response to this, Sambu Group Management issued a Notification Letter signed by factory leadership and public relations on 26th September 2022.
In the Notification Letter Number: 005/SG/22/A2.2/DA/GM-HS, it is stated that there has been a buildup of coconut derivative products (processed goods) in the company’s warehouse due to declining demand/sales in both the domestic market and the global market. So, our factory requires to adjusting the speed of the production process. By adjusting the production speed, it is necessary to also adjust the amount of absorption based on demand for all raw materials, including coconut.
