Sambu Group Through PT RSUP Hosts "Ramadan Blessing Takjil Market" to Empower Local Community

Sambu Group, a Domestic Investment (PMDN) company, through its business unit PT Riau Sakti United Plantations (RSUP), remains committed to and concerned with the socio-religious life of the surrounding community. To welcome and celebrate the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H, PT RSUP, in collaboration with the Islamic Association of University Students (HMI) and the Pulau Burung District Scout Movement, is organizing a bazaar titled "Spreading Happiness with the Ramadan Blessing Takjil Market." The event runs from February 18 to March 21, 2026, coinciding with the beginning of the fast through to the end of Ramadan.

The Ramadan bazaar is held in the parking area of PT RSUP and is open to the general public. This initiative is expected to serve as a platform for togetherness, local economic empowerment, and strengthening the relationship between the company, youth organizations, and the local community. A core value of this bazaar is the commitment to providing maximum opportunities for small business owners and the community without charging any participation fees. PT RSUP does not collect any fees from bazaar participants. Any requirements, such as tent rentals or other equipment, are self-funded and based on the collective initiative of the participants.

The "Ramadan Blessing Takjil Market" features a variety of culinary products for breaking the fast, ranging from traditional takjil (snacks) and light meals to refreshing beverages. The presence of this bazaar is expected to assist the community in meeting their iftar needs while opening productive seasonal business opportunities. Andy Ferrial, Public Relations of PT RSUP, stated that this activity is a concrete manifestation of the company's concern for the social environment surrounding its operational areas. "Ramadan is a momentum for sharing and strengthening togetherness. Through this Takjil Market, we want to provide a space that not only holds economic value but also strengthens social bonds between the company, the youth, and the community. We hope this activity brings benefits and blessings to all parties," said Andy Ferrial.

Odi Darmawan, Vice Secretary General of PTKP HMI Tembilahan Branch, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration. He hopes this event can drive MSMEs and the local economy in the Pulau Burung area. "We see this activity not just as a Ramadan bazaar, but as a tangible step in encouraging the growth of small businesses and strengthening the community's economic wheels. We hope the collaboration between students, the community, and PT RSUP continues to flourish and creates sustainable synergy in the future," Odi Darmawan remarked.

The collaboration between PT RSUP, HMI, and the Pulau Burung District Scout Movement symbolizes synergy across different elements of society in building a spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong). The involvement of youth organizations is expected to encourage active participation from the younger generation in social and entrepreneurial activities.

Beyond driving economic activity, the bazaar is designed as a warm and inclusive interaction space for all levels of society. With an organized and conducive atmosphere, it is hoped that this will become an annual event anticipated every holy month. Under the theme "Spreading Happiness with the Ramadan Blessing Takjil Market," PT RSUP is committed to delivering a simple yet meaningful event that strengthens social solidarity and brings the spirit of sharing to this blessed month.
