Sambu Group, a Domestic Investment (PMDN) company, through its business unit PT Riau Sakti United Plantations (PT RSUP), is supporting the national food security program through a nationwide simultaneous corn harvest. The planting of 50 hectares of corn was carried out as part of a national program initiated by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., and the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman.
"The planting we carried out on January 21, 2025, has now yielded sweet results. The corn planted in Parcels 11-16, Area 4, and Parcels 12-16, Area 4, Pulau Burung District, Indragiri Hilir, Riau, is ready for harvest," said A. Ginting, Public Relations for Sambu Group. The corn harvest thanksgiving event was held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 08:30 AM WIB at KM 09, Pulau Burung District. Also present were the Head of Pulau Burung Police Sector, AKP Azwar Alwi, along with his staff, several representatives from the Pulau Burung Muspika (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum), and management representatives from Sambu Group.

AKP Azwar Alwi, Head of Pulau Burung Police Sector, stated, "I express my gratitude to all parties who have actively participated in supporting food security through this corn planting. More specifically, to PT RSUP for providing land, carrying out the planting, fertilizing, caring for, and overseeing the success of the program that began last January. This is not just about the harvest yield, but more than that—it's tangible proof that we can achieve food security together."
A. Ginting emphasized that the company's contribution to this program is part of PT RSUP's commitment to supporting the government's actively promoted food security program. "We highly hope that the distribution of this corn harvest can be carried out effectively through the cooperation between PT RSUP and Bulog. This way, the program can simultaneously have a positive impact on the food security we are all working towards," added A. Ginting.
This harvest is the beginning of a journey in supporting national food security. This corn harvest is not only limited to fulfilling local needs but also serves as a strategic step in strengthening national food security. Hopefully, this activity will inspire everyone and contribute to creating Indonesia's national food security.
