Sambu Group, a domestic investment (PMDN) company located in Inhil, through its business unit PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung, held a blood donation event together with the Bahtera Dwipa Abadi Foundation (YBDA) on Sunday, February 23, 2025. With the support of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Indragiri Hilir Regency, the blood donation with the theme "Because Your Drop of Blood Means a Lot to Those in Need" was successfully carried out.

Starting at 07.30 WIB, this activity succeeded in attracting the attention of more than 180 participants to take part. The event, which took place at the Pratama Clinic of PT Pulau Sambu Guntung, received a positive response from employees, workers and the community, successfully collecting 186 bags of blood.

Tua H. Hutabarat, Foundation Operation Manager of YBDA, explained that the theme raised in this activity has a deep meaning. "The theme raised reflects how big the impact of a small action is on other people's lives. A drop of donated blood can be a hope for patients who are struggling to recover. With this activity, we want to invite more people to realize that being a blood donor is a real form of concern and social solidarity," he said.

Public Relations of Sambu Group, A. Ginting, emphasized that this blood donation activity is part of the company's social commitment to support community health and help those who need blood.

"We at Sambu Group always strive to contribute to the community, not only through the infrastructure, education, religious and economic sectors, but also in the social and health fields. Through this blood donation activity, we want to encourage awareness of the importance of sharing and helping others, especially those who need blood transfusions," said A. Ginting.

"The enthusiasm of the community and all Sambu Group employees in this event was extraordinary. We thank all participants, medical teams, and partners who have supported the success of this activity. With this social action, we hope that more individuals will be moved to become regular blood donors," added A. Ginting.

Tua Hutabarat added, "Cooperation with PMI and local communities is one of the keys to the success of this event. We greatly appreciate the involvement of many parties in this activity. With social actions like this, we can work together to help others and ensure that blood supplies at PMI remain available for those in need," he said.

With the re-success of the blood donation, PT Pulau Sambu in Guntung and YBDA hope that this routine agenda activity can continue to run in the future and get even greater enthusiasm, "Blood donation is important because it also has many benefits for donors, if done regularly it will be good for us physically and spiritually," concluded A.
