In an effort to show appreciation to mobile vendors who have played a significant role in providing various food ingredients directly to the community, Kara, in collaboration with Tetra Pak, held the Mobile Vendor Partnership Program again. This program took place on February 10, 2025, at Westlake Cafe, Yogyakarta, and was attended by 60 small business actors (PKK) who are part of this initiative. As a form of real support for the vendors, Kara distributed 20 push carts and 40 motorized carts to mobile vendors in the Yogyakarta area. To date, through this ongoing program, a total of 600 carts have been distributed to various regions in Indonesia, consisting of 250 push carts and 350 motorized carts.

In his speech, Juwadi, National Sales Manager of PT Kara Santan Pertama (Kara's Distribution and Marketing Company in Indonesia), said that this program is not just physical assistance, but also a form of appreciation for the vendors' dedication in meeting the daily needs of the community. "With these new carts, both push carts and motorized carts, vendors can run their businesses more efficiently and attract more consumers. With more modern and functional sales tools, vendors are expected to increase sales, expand markets, and provide better service to customers," added Juwadi.

Dwi Arif Kurniawan, Account Manager of Tetra Pak Indonesia, added, “This program aims to build stronger relationships between Kara and its mobile vendor partners, and to provide new enthusiasm for them to continue to grow, and we are committed to continuing to support the development of mobile vendor businesses through various sustainability initiatives.”

In addition to the distribution of carts, the companies also provide financial and material support in various community activities to strengthen the vendors' social network, provide sales aids to improve comfort and business efficiency, and ensure that vendors can continue to carry out their daily activities besides trading well.

This program not only benefits mobile vendors, but also has a positive impact on the wider community. With the availability of more modern carts, consumers can enjoy better service, both in terms of cleanliness, ease of daily operations, and the diversity of merchandise offered. Kara and Tetra Pak hope that through this initiative, more and more vendors can benefit, so that the sustainability of their businesses is maintained and continues to grow.

Kurtubi, a representative of mobile vendors from Colombo Market Yogyakarta, expressed his gratitude for the attention given by Kara and Tetra Pak. “For us, this assistance can increase our enthusiasm for trading. The assistance provided is a real form of the company's concern for mobile vendors like us,” explained Kurtubi.

In closing, Juwadi emphasized that Kara will continue to be committed to supporting mobile vendors so that they can develop and be competitive. "We believe that with the right support, mobile vendors can continue to progress and make a significant contribution to the community. This program is a real manifestation of our commitment to grow together with our business partners and strengthen the local economy," he concluded.
